Our Story

DankeSuper originated from the Farm Act of 2018 which legalized the production of hemp in the United States. After decades in other industries, we were driven by a persistent desire to contribute to sustainability and mindfulness with the hope of achieving greater positive social impact. The name itself originate in the mountains of Switzerland, a beacon of sustainable, local communities. It was combination of two phrases oft repeated by our founder's daughter, Delilah: "Danke" and "C'est Super".

The potential of hemp astounded us not only because of the significant natural health benefits, but sustainable, industrial applications of the plant itself. A decade plus earlier, our founder's father (Ark) shift from the field of finance to focus his energy into what became a rather successful gourmet mushroom business called Shibumi Farms. DankeSuper leveraged relationships from the food & agriculture business to develop what we considered to be the finest full spectrum products on the market.

We initially focused our distribution efforts on physical "retail management units" throughout the Northeast and select locations in Arizona. Then COVID hit and we were forced to reevaluate a model... We developed an online catalog, attracted a bunch of media coverage, and focused on an experimental approach where we developed all of our own products. We gained traction of Delta-8, but didn't take market it as a legal way to get high (which is technically true for hemp derived on Delta-9 on a broader level). Rather, we focused on health and wellness formulations. Leveraging Delta-8's lower propensity for paranoia along with it's reported abilities to assist in pain management & sleep.

Since then, we've experiment and expanded our offering of psychoactive compounds with a focus on the demure.
